Your data rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), you can take these steps about your data.
What you can do yourself now
- Delete your account and comments: on the My settings page, tap 'Delete my account and comments'.
- Turn off weather alerts: in My settings, tap 'Turn off alerts' or 'Clear all'.
- Stop the newsletter: every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link.
- Data on your phone: your chosen district and the pages you read stay in your browser. You can clear them any time from the browser's site settings.
What you can ask us for
- Access: what data we hold about you.
- Correction: fixing wrong or incomplete data.
- Erasure: deleting your data.
- Withdrawing consent: for alerts, the newsletter or anything else you agreed to.
- Complaint: if you are not satisfied with our answer, write to the grievance officer.
How to send a request
Email info@kisaanu.com with 'Data request' in the subject. Please include:
- your name, and the email you signed in or subscribed with
- what you want: access, correction, erasure or withdrawing consent
- your district, if it is about weather alerts
We will reply within 30 days.
If our answer does not settle it, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
