पपीते की खेती में बदलाव: ‘रेड लेडी’ किस्म से किसानों को मिल रही बंपर कमाई
झारखंड के देवघर में अब किसान पारंपरिक फसलों को छोड़कर पपीते की खेती की ओर तेजी से बढ़ रहे हैं। कृषि विशेषज्ञ वकील यादव बताते हैं कि ‘रेड लेडी’ और ‘पूसा नन्हा’ किस्म की खेती में ‘रेड लेडी’ अधिक लोकप्रिय हो रही है। यह किस्म अधिक फल देती है और मेल पौधे कम निकलते हैं, जिससे उत्पादन में सुधार होता है। पपीते की खेती कम समय में अच्छा मुनाफा देती है। एक कट्ठा में करीब 40 पौधे लगाए जा सकते हैं, और छह महीने में फल आने लगते हैं। यह खेती किसानों के लिए तेजी से आय का एक अच्छा साधन बनती जा रही है।
